L ' Allianz Arena è uno stadio di calcio situato alla periferia settentrionale di Monaco di Baviera .

È stato inaugurato alla fine di aprile del 2005 ed è la nuova casa delle squadre di calcio ted esche FC Bayern München e TSV 1860 München . Lo stadio ha ospitato la cerimonia e l'incontro di apertura dei Mondiali di Germania 2006 . Ha sostituito l' Olympiastadion , sede delle due squadre fin dal 1972 . Lo stadio è stato progettato dallo studio architettonico Herzog & de Meuron .

L'Allianz Arena ha una capacità di 66.000 posti, contiene 3 asili per lasciare i bambini, negozi e ristoranti, su un'area totale di circa 6.500 m². Vicino allo stadio è stato costruito il più grande parcheggio sotterraneo d' Europa , che ha una capacità di 10.500 autovetture.

Il guscio esterno è composto da 2.874 pannelli di ETFE spessi 0,2 mm a forma di diamante, ognuno dei quali può essere illuminato singolarmente con colori differenti (rosso, bl u e bianco), consentendo di mostrare uno spettacolare varietà di disegni, legati alla Baviera (che ha lo stemma a losanghe bianche e blu) and the two city teams (white and red for Bayern, white and blue for TSV 1860).
